A testing ride with Tim

Tim (my photographer friend) and I went for a ride last week. Just the loop from the shop, around and back. The trails are a little sticky in places but they’re riding well. I lent Tim a bike to ride. It was his first ride on a fat front and he was impressed enough that he wants one for his Jones now. The bike was also equipped with some of the Porcelain Rocket packs I’ve been testing. The significant item here is the latest Truss Fork pack. It’s version three I think in our development cycle. It’s a fatter bag than before, an oval pill-shape, with a greater capacity but crucially we have improved the strap configuration that really secures it to the forks very well. There’s no movement or slippage.

And I was riding one of my prototypes. I’m fortunate that I can build an entire bicycle to check and test my theories and inventions and this is one such experimental frameset. It’s riding well but very much still ‘in development’ so I can’t say much more until it have it ready.
