I’m not long back from Interbike – the big trade show here in the US and a great opportunity to see what’s what with cycling. I had a great time and was able to introduce the new Jones production frame-sets that I have had made for me. I’m now getting the details of what’s what and how much things will cost up on the website. For now I just wanted to show some of what will be available. We can now offer Spaceframes and Truss forks in titanium and steel. And Loop and Cut H-bars® in aluminum and titanium. I’m very excited. Really well-crafted…

Hi Jeff – I’m wondering a couple of things – will the Steel Diamond be available with a steel truss fork?

    And

Will you be making a fully fat production bike in steel?

What about a Steel Diamond frame with a Ti Truss Fork?

  3. jeff

Yes. The steel or titanium Truss fork is compatible and available with the Diamond frame.

I don’t have plans for a steel full fat tire production bike right now.

This is all very cool! My friend has a Ti Diamond frame with Fat front and Viscous fork. I am surprised by how harsh the fork feels even with the Larry tire. Can you tell me if these other fork options are better and lighter in this regard?

The Truss forks are much stiffer front to rear compared to either the old or new fat steel unicrown Jones forks. It’s very noticeable under hard braking. The Truss forks also absorb shock a little better since they have much smaller and thinner tubes. They are all still “rigid” forks and don’t feel like suspension. The new unicrown fork has curved legs to help absorb some shock. Both Truss forks are lighter than the unicrown fork.

Do you produce steel fork only with hub spacing is 135mm?

I’ve just noticed that the headtube badge has gone – a real shame if so.

    Ash,
The head tube badges were not ready when the photos were taken. They are almost done and will be included on the frames.

When will the production frames in Ti will be available?

The titanium frame sets should be ready in Spring. Steel frame sets will be ready in late December. We are taking deposits now.
