I went out to test a customer’s bike… “I had a very good ride yesterday. It was just around freezing and the trail was very slushy and in some places icy. There was even some rain. I rode from the shop up the mountain and out of the clouds. I climbed up past where the trucks go and was out up on top all by myself. The brake hoses are uncut so I could ride with it with the rear brake on the right. I’ll cut them down and switch them today.

Here are a few pics from the ride. It was a solo ride so no pics of me riding. At the beginning the climb is paved. Then some snow. I hung out under a tree at one point to wait for the rain to stop – it didn’t. The crank is taped to protect it on this ride. I went up to past where the trucks go. Then I was above the clouds. On the south face of the mountain it was warmer and it was all rain – no snow. I’ll be cleaning tuning and boxing your bike today.”
