Truss fork bags

I’ve been working on ways to carry more to ride further. Bags made for the Truss fork are something I’ve wanted for a while. I’ve made custom racks to hold traditional low bags and I’ve uses the shape of the fork to hold some water for longer rides but I think bags like this is the way to go.

The seat and handle bar bar bag made by Jeff at Carousel design works that I’ve been using have been working great and are very well made, so I talked with Jeff about making some custom bags to fit the forks.

The prototypes are finished and I’ll have them here soon for testing.

If you would like to get a set on order or have any questions please contact me.

Here’s what Jeff at Carousel design works says about the bags.
“Designed to be a lightweight/low profile way to carry extra gear on your truss fork. Great for a bit of dense weight, like extra food or water, on long distance/multi-day adventures. The truss fork provides a perfect platform for attaching a set of packs, without requiring the additional weight and complexity of extra hardware. With the low profile pack design, handling is optimized by keeping the mass centralized near the steering axis, thus reducing the amount of rider input needed for quick steering corrections in technical terrain.

Constructed from lightweight Dimension Polyant Xpac Vx21 waterproof laminate material, with 1000 denier Cordura used for abrasion along the leading edge and bottom. A HDPE frame sheet laminated to lightweight closed cell foam gives the packs structure, and works in conjunction with the gripper back panel and webbing strap attachments to provide a secure carry. Water resistant access zippers with locking pull tabs offer good weather resistance and a quiet/rattle-free ride. The external bungee attachments and Spandura wand pockets allow you to quick stash a layer or other gear quickly.

The packs measure roughly 12.5″ X 4″ X 2.25″ and offer approximately 240ci (4 liters) of volume. Weight for this prototype set is 14.2 oz (400 grams), although production versions might be a little lighter with a few minor changes.”

Jeff, Do you know if Carousel Design Works has any plans for Jones bar specific Pogies? It would be really cool if they did.
