Jeff have you had problems with the chain getting stuck between the 6 speed cassette and the arm on the new shadow derailure? I had to file my arm down a little. Perhaps it is because I’m using DT hubs instead of Kings.
I haven’t had the chain get stuck, but depending on the frame and the hub I have had the chain touch the arm on the back side of the Shadow derailleur during shifting. Removing some material from the back of the arm takes care of it.
Tightening the B-tension screw can increase clearance too.
The top or low normal regular Shimano derailleurs have plenty of clearance.
I hope one day Shimano goes the other way and makes a properly engineered wide range 5 or 6 speed shifting system with equal flange spacing.
