24″ Jones Plus framesets back in stock, in brown and black, along with new Jones/Revelate Plus frame packs!

The new 24″ Jones Plus framesets are here!  We’re excited to have 24″ Plus framesets available again, and this time they’re available in brown.  The color is inspired by the mix of pine needles, dirt, leaves, and twigs that make up the beautiful forest floor in the mountains of Southern Oregon, where we are […]

Ride a Jones at the Duthie, Washington Evergreen MTB Festival!

Road trip!

Me and around nine Jones bicycles (27.5″, 29″, 29 Plus, steel and titanium) will be at the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance’s 6th Annual Festival at Duthie in the state of Washington on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 from 9am-5pm (see evergreenmtbfestival.com for all the details). Come and see me as soon as you can, as […]

Ride with a Jones 29 and a Jones Plus Bicycle

We took out a Jones Plus for its first ride to break it in. We also had a new Jones 29 titanium Spaceframe bike (with thru-axles) that had already been ridden a few times. We traded the bikes several times to compare. 29er vs 29 Plus. Both win.

Jones in Outside

A Jones Plus went to Outside magazine and their ‘First Look’ has been published.
It’s a good read (blush). Click the picture below to read it or you can use this link.

Jones in Bicycle Quarterly #51

(The pictures above of Bicycle Quarterly were approved to share by Jan as they are not readable.)

“The Jones feels both totally different and yet remarkably similar”

I sent a bike to Jan at Bicycle Quarterly in late August 2014 – they take their time testing bikes there. They do things right. They question things. Jan took it touring and raced […]

Fresh Jones Stock

It was quite a delivery but it’s great to have so many things available again. We now have Jones Plus framesets in stock, and 710mm aluminum Loop H-bars! We’re shipping all the pre-orders out as soon as we can and  everything else not reserved is available in the store. Stock is limited though so […]

Thru-Axle Ti Spaceframe

This is (still) as good as it gets. The titanium Spaceframe and Truss fork deliver the rigid bicycle that is anything but. Laterally stiff to deliver the power with a vertical compliance that softens the ride? Yes, but this is only the icing on the cake. The Jones geometry ensures the best handling bike […]

Jones Plus Standover Heights

OK, here are two photos (click for bigger) showing the standover height for the 25″ (effective top tube) and 24″ (ETT) Jones Plus versions. Standover isn’t everything – there’s a lot more in Jones Geometry – but these are useful for people wanting to get an idea of how they might stand astride a Plus.

Make […]

Testing times

OK, we often get messages from customers. They seem to like what I’m doing. How I see cycling. And we get reviews too, sometimes from large established publications and sometimes from smaller outfits. I’ve collected a few here that I’ve seen recently. Tests and mentions and customer comments…

Firstly a mention on Dirty Pages. If […]

650b (27.5) wheels in a Jones 29 Spaceframe

Following on from my recent 29/29+/Fat-Front tire demonstration in the Jones Plus frameset, here is an image showing how a Jones 29 (in this instance a Steel Spaceframe but it applies to all the Jones 29 frames) can accept 650b (27.5) tires. Click pic for the big version!

650B wheels (depending on tire choice) can […]
