It’s an annual thing for me. The longest day, and really quite a sweet one too. I rode up and over the mountain and found a good spot for the night. The night sky was clear and full of stars. I saw a few meteors and many satellites. I found a good level spot up against a rock in the hillside to set up camp.







I love waking up on the top of a mountain with my bike and a good, long, mostly downhill ride home.

I’m testing out a new top tube pack for the Spaceframe. It relies on the two top tubes to keep it very stable so it does not need to strap to the fork’s steerer tube.

The wide rims and fat tires (at low pressure) are very good at rolling efficiently along over the gravel mountain roads.
