Four new parts from Jones Bikes, available now!

1. Jones H-Bar® Loop Butted Aluminum 2.5

This new lighter version of the Jones H-Bar Loop 2.5 is made with butted aluminum tubing that is thicker where needed for strength around the welds and thinner in the rest of the bar to make it about 165 grams lighter than the Jones H-Bar Loop SG 2.5.

The new Jones H-Bar Loop Butted Aluminum 2.5 is 2″ / 51 mm higher for riders who need to get their bars higher in order to get more comfort and control; and while Jones framesets and bikes make this easy, many riders are installing H-Bars on other brands of bikes with a normal, lower stack height and need a higher bar.  It’s also great on a Jones Bike for the rider who wants maximum handlebar height!

The new Jones H-Bar Loop Butted Aluminum 2.5 is available in 660 mm or 710 mm widths and anodized in black or silver, just like the lower cost Jones H-Bar Loop SG 2.5.

2. Jones H-Bar Loop Carbon 35 mm

The new Jones H-Bar Loop Carbon 35 mm has a larger clamping area for a more secure integration with the stem and increased stiffness. The bigger main cross bar also feels more ergonomic on longer rides. The high quality carbon helps with shock absorption while keeping the weight down. This bar has the same 45 degree sweep as our other bars and comes in a 710 mm width with a 35 mm clamping area and a 22.2 mm standard grip area for flat bar / mountain bike controls.

3. New Jones Kraton H-Grip Colors

We now have our Jones Kraton H-Grips in grey, red and orange along with the original black and clear. Available in 205 mm length for 710 mm width H-Bars and 165 mm length for 660 mm width H-bars.

4. Jones Gnarwal

The new Jones Gnarwal, available in aluminum and carbon, is a simple single tube bonded to a beautifully machined two-piece clamp that attaches to the front of the Jones Loop H-Bar with stainless steel hardware. It provides a place to hold your hands and to better control the bike while in the most aero position that the H-Bar offers…It’s an aero bar for the H-Bar!

Improvements over the original version:

  • Wider clamp is stiffer and has a more secure grip.
  • The one-piece face plate has more clamping surface. This design is also easier to install.
  • Overall lighter design with the tube bonded onto the hollow machined clamp (original design used a heavier bolt and wedge).
  • Now available in aluminum and also a lighter carbon fiber version.
  • The new aluminum Gnarwal is 17 g lighter and the carbon fiber version is 33 g lighter than the original Gnarwal.

.

The Gnarwal can be used as an aero bar. It can also function as a mounting location for bike computers, GPS, and sports action cameras.

We are also now offering a single Jones EVA grip to go with the Gnarwal. This grip allows for confident control with a more open-handed grip. Another option is to wrap the Gnarwal with H-Bar tape for a thinner grip.
