Jones Plus SWB as a Touring Bike – Review in Adventure Cyclist Magazine

A Jones bike is good for many types of riding including light and loaded touring.

Back in 2013, I sent one of my bikes to Adventure Cyclist Magazine to show that my bike with bigger, more efficient wheels, along with a more upright position, with a handle bar that offers many good hand and body positions for long rides, just may be better for road touring than traditional drop bar skinny tire touring bikes.  Patrick O’Grady rode and reviewed the bike and liked it so much he bought it for himself after the review was completed.

The new Jones Plus SWB bike is the evolution of this older bike. It has a slightly longer wheel base, clearance for bigger tires and more rack and bottle bosses on the frame and fork.  It’s even better for touring!

Here is the bike set-up with different tires and rack, bag and bottle options.

So I sent one of these new Jones Plus SWB bikes to Patrick a few months ago. He has been riding! You can see the new review in the Feb 2019 issue of Adventure Cyclist magazine or in this PDF below that they sent to us to share!

Here is the video that goes with this review.

Good for off road cycle touring / backpacking also

Big thanks to Adventure Cyclist and Patrick for checking out one of my bikes!
