Jones in What Mountain Bike

Steve Worland’s test of the steel diamond frame is now out, over in the UK, in the Summer 2011 issue of What Mountain Bike. I can’t reproduce the article here, that wouldn’t be right, but I can suggest you see if you can get hold of a copy (and I’ll ask the publishers about extracts in the future) because it’s well worth reading. “Jeff Jones has effectively reinvented rigid mountain bikes” is clearly the stand-out statement but Steve’s discussion of the bike and how it rides is such that it’s more than an attention grabbing headline (and it’s not used as a headline in the magazine). He suggests one of the Jones frame and fork combinations “should be tried by every enthusiastic mountain biker”.

“This is definitely a bike you need to ride to appreciate.
The harder you ride it the more it will impress”

I’m really pleased Steve likes the bike, and has written such a considered review. Well worth reading.
